bloemfontein l maternity photographer ~ and just once in a lifetime

life gives you something SO, SO incredibly rare  and i was blessed enough to photograph it.

identical twin sisters Danielle and Gabrielle, found out a week apart that they were pregnant.

this was Danielle’s first pregnancy, and she was carrying a boy.  Gabrielle was already mum to a little boy, and was carrying a girl this time round.

they were expecting their babies about 3 weeks apart.

i am so happy i got to photograph this rare event.

what took it WAY over the top is that the girls had their babies on THE SAME DAY.

Whilst Gabrielle was having her scheduled c-section, Danielle went into labour, and the babies were born hours apart.

it doesn’t get any better than that, does it??

i’m kinda stoked.

the following shot is not my own idea.  it was inspired by a fellow maternity photographer whose work i came across on the internet. the twins and i loved the image, and decided to do our own version of it.
